 Findings from Tim Burton research task: 


  From researching about Tim Burton and his career I've learnt that he is not just a successful film director but an artist and animator. I've discovered that his gothic, dark themed style also follows through to his art work and animation. Making his films magical and abstract. 'Alice in wonderland' is a prime example of Burton taking a childrens fairy-tale and putting a modern dark twist on it. He seemed to make the magical moments more magical with his creative imagination and the scarier scene's scarier with the way he uses superficial imagery.

I've also learn't about Tim Burton's working relationships. As a director he works closely with his wife Helena Bonham, who has been in a number of Tim's films. Johnny Depp has also starred in Burton's film such as 'Alice in wonderland' and 'Edward scissor hands'. By having this close partnership his films are recognizable.
I've found out about what makes directors individual, for example their different styles of work and themes.
